Good evening! I know it's about 12:00 AM Wisconsin time as I begin writing this blog, but I wanted to provide a little summary of our day. Starting tomorrow students will be writing and I'll do my best to get some better pics along the way:)
This morning we grabbed our bagged breakfasts and ate them in our rooms. We met at 9:00 AM for devotions and then hit the road at 9:30 AM, right on schedule! Our drive time today was just over 6 hours, so it wasn't too bad. We want to thank everyone who has been praying for us as we felt your prayers. Not only did God answer our prayers and give us safe travels, but he kept it cooler today. For those riding in the van with no AC it was way more tolerable today. The forecast called for another day in the upper 80s, but that never happened, and we are thankful.
We stopped at a Steak-N-Shake for lunch. They were understaffed so we ended up having about a 2 hour lunch break. The lady who served us was super nice and we were able to have some good conversations with other customers. After we finished our shakes we were able to head out on the road and finish our trip to Colorado Springs. We were welcomed by the Next Step Team and we were able to get settled in and meet other groups as we awaited supper and evening worship and orientation.
We were given our work assignment (more on that tomorrow) and our group signed up for different responsibilities on the job site. We're already having a great time on site and we can't wait to get going tomorrow. Thanks again for all of your prayers, and a happy belated Father's Day to all the dads!

| It was quite windy today. Can you tell? |

Leaders meeting. Can you see the Rockies out the window?

| Filling out our leader sheet for the different tasks |
 |
| Kapong? Something to do outside our room. These guys almost bought a basketball hoop at Walmart to set up in the parking lot. They went for a few cheaper options. |
 |
| We had our personal Bible study time (just our group) outside in the back of the church. They had a room for us, but when you can have the Rocky Mountains in the background you may as well be outside for devotions. Here is a pic captured by Renee. It was so cool watching a small storm come across the mountains |
